(QUINCY PATRIOT LEDGER) MARSHFIELD – Marshfield resident Connie Drapeau Kennedy recalled a bright student, loved by his peers, whom she met while working with a town youth group about 15 years ago.
One day, he said something that was painful to hear, she said.
“He came up and said, ‘The Holocaust, that was a good thing, wasn’t it? After all, we killed the Jews,’ ” Drapeau Kennedy said Monday night.
“I don’t fault his parents; I don’t fault the schools, and I don’t fault him. But in a town so isolated where we all look alike … somewhere he lost the message. Christianity is about loving everybody.”
