(AFP) PRESIDENT Vladimir Putin has urged Washington’s new envoy not to interfere in Russia’s affairs amid raging tensions.
“We are ready for practical cooperation with American partners along various directions guided by the principles of respect for each other’s interests, equal rights and non-interference into domestic affairs,” asi Mr Putin.
He spoke at the Kremlin, where John Tefft, Washington’s new ambassador to Russia, presented his letter of credence along with envoys from several other countries including North Korea.
