I truly believe that the Obama administration thinks that whatever illegal activities they are involved in don't matter one iota. They try to justify and spin everything related to the numerous scandals surrounding them, and they act as though we are the ones making this all up!
When Barack Obama was on Bill O'Reilly's program back in January of this year, he was asked a direct question about wrongdoing and corruption in the IRS. Bill wanted a direct answer and was greeted with an incredulous Obama who laughed and shrugged the question off with this response:
O'REILLY: So you're saying there was no corruption there at all.

OBAMA: That's not what I'm saying.
O'REILLY: I want to know what you're saying. You're the leader of the country.
OBAMA: Absolutely.
O'REILLY: You're saying no corruption, none?

OBAMA: There was some bone-headed decisions.
O'REILLY: Bone-headed decisions. But no mass corruption?
OBAMA: Not even mass corruption. Not even a smidgeon of corruption.
It was treated as a joke, as something so ridiculous that it didn't even need to be acknowledged. We have gotten this same attitude time after time, not only from Obama, but with Eric Holder during the Fast and Furious investigation, with Hillary Clinton's "What difference does it make?" regarding Benghazi, and with the Obamacare lies and the immigration deceptions. Where will this end?

This week, a bombshell dropped on the IRS scandal that could ultimately lead straight to the Justice Department and the White House. After the "missing" and "lost" emails were miraculously found, it has come to light that buried in these emails was correspondence between Lois Lerner and the DOJ's Elections Crimes Branch way back in October of 2010! Working together, they were trying to figure a way to criminally prosecute conservatives for their political views. Only when forced to turn over documents by a court order did Judicial Watch discover that Lerner worked with the DOJ targeting conservative groups, and they even show that she sent the DOJ a 1.1 million page database of information about 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organizations that contained confidential tax records. Not a smidgen of corruption there. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton has said that "Obamas DOJ is up to its neck in the IRS scandal," and he is disgusted that it took an outside lawsuit to get to the bottom of it.
Now that Pandora 's box has finally been opened, we find that the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), has found 2,509 pages of documents related to unauthorized leaks of confidential taxpayer information to the White House. They won't, however, release them, saying that they are barred by law from doing so. So the stonewalling continues. If this confidential tax information was turned over to the White House, it is a direct violation of federal law (26 U.S.C.:6103). Of course, the Obama administration is looking into this. They are continuing to investigate themselves – and don't you just know that there will not be "a smidgen of corruption" or evidence to be found.
Unfortunately, this story is on the back burner of the media. Even Fox News has moved on (other than Gretchen Carlson) and is now hung up on the racial division and CIA torture report. I doubt very seriously that anything will be done about this extremely serious scandal because other than Rep. Trey Gowdy and a few others who won't let go of this, no one else is interested anymore. Do Boehner and McConnell not understand that this constitutes high crimes and misdemeanors and that Richard Nixon was almost impeached for far less? When American citizens can be blatantly targeted with a bull's-eye put on their backs for possible criminal prosecution just for being a conservative, we need to get to the bottom of this and follow every lead.
Thank goodness we have tough watchdog groups like Judicial Watch and the ACLJ who know how serious this matter is. Sadly, we don't have enough patriots in Congress to stand up and fight for the rights of the American people. I fear that even with the new blood coming in January and the control firmly in the hands of the Republicans they will get in bed with the Democrats, and all of these scandals will just fade away with no resolution. We have already gotten a preview of what is coming with the budget that was just passed.

It is frustrating to know that they now have the power to actually do something about all of these scandals, but lack the guts to follow through.
