(BOSTONGLOBE) — Hundreds of Boston public school students walked out of class Tuesday to protest recent grand jury decisions not to indict white police officers in the deaths of two unarmed black men in Ferguson, Mo., and New York City.
Shortly before noon, a group of about 200 students protested in front of the State House, chanting and holding signs, saying minorities are treated unfairly by police.

“We want people of color to be equal,” said Shylah Bone, 16, a Boston Preparatory Charter Public School student.
Kiera Bryant, 16, also a student at Boston Prep, said, “We’re trying to show that black lives matter. That all lives matter.”
