The perils of disobedience

By WND Staff

Mr. Farah:

Please let me begin by thanking you for being so outspoken on issues that truly matter. We are unfortunately in an era where being homosexual is praised by the masses while having conservative biblical family values are condemned and labeled bigoted. An era where children/teens will cuss their teachers out to the point that a sailor would blush, but don’t let the words “God” or “Jesus” come out of your mouth. That’s grounds for expulsion. Right now Islam is being forced down the American public’s throats, and Christianity is being censored by our government, our employers and our schools. We, sir, are in grave danger if this course does not change … soon.

The reason for my brief little letter us that I have somewhat of a concern in regards to the column “Killed for selling cigarettes.” As much as I appreciate and agree with your stance on downsizing government and reigning in irresponsibly frivolous execution of new laws and spending, I believe that the article might be misunderstood as condoning disobedience to law enforcement.

It is truly a tragedy that Eric Garner lost his life and his family lost a loved one. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. What I find most appalling, though, from these last few months is that American society has deteriorated to the point that riots, looting, arson, mass public disturbance and retaliatory threats to grand jury members go unpunished. Even more atrocious is that murders are being committed over a decision that is not agreed with regardless of the overwhelming evidence corroborated by both witnesses and autopsy that the Brown shooting was not just justified but necessary.

Sir, you are a well-respected and popular journalist who just so happens to be very conservative and a spokesman for biblical morals and truths. Professing that society voted the wrong people into government whereby government erroneously waged war on smoking, causing this unfortunate death, is misrepresentation of the cause. I agree with it being society’s fault, just for a different reason. We have let the moral values of this nation erode to the point that both men killed felt that it was acceptable to fight with the police.

Your time and attention is graciously appreciated.
