(CHARLOTTEOBSERVER) — Twenty-four people were injured following a Union County school bus accident Monday morning in Indian Trail.
The bus driver and 21 students had minor injuries, school district spokeswoman Tahira Stalberte said. The bus had overturned and hit another vehicle, whose driver had serious injuries and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. Michael Baker said in a statement.
A separate accident involving a county school bus in Wingate had no students on it, officials said.
