(IFIBERONE) — MOSES LAKE, Washington – A third-grade student was placed on “emergency expulsion” after making threats to shoot his fellow students.
North Elementary School Principal Doug Luiten said the student told classmates on Jan. 8 he would come to school with “a machine gun and pistols and shoot them all.”
The student was immediately confronted by school counselors and administrators and the level of the threat was assessed, according to Luiten.

“I’ve been a principal in Moses Lake for the last 27 years and this is something we obviously take very seriously. After speaking with the student’s mother at length, we determined the threats to be non-credible,” said Luiten.
