My prayers go out to the folks in Paris. But prayers, marches, candlelight vigils and political outrage are not going to affect this problem of terrorism as put on display in Paris. And, in all likelihood, this is just beginning.
There has been little effect by banning guns, passing more anti-gun laws and harsher legal penalties for gun-related crime. It is very apparent the terrorists don't care about law or penalties, since they were using explosives and fully automatic weapons, which are the most illegal and regulated. They don't even care for their own lives.
So, what do we do? Open carry.

Legally armed and trained citizenry – with readily available firepower that greatly outnumbers terrorists in most every situation – is quite a deterrent. If a terrorist is just determined to die for his cause, he may get off a couple of shots, but will likely be full of holes and dead on the spot.
When the good guys outnumber the bad guys and have the means to respond and control the problem as it occurs, by definition the problem has been minimized. The terrorism mindset may never go away, but after a few of these crazies get shot down where they stand like rabid dogs before doing as much damage, it can be made much less appealing as an outlet for their issues.
Keep your Bible close. Keep your loaded gun closer, and this too shall all pass!
