I just wanted to share two things. First of all I wanted to mention that people including atheists don’t seem to realize or understand that atheism is a belief system, just like religion is a belief system.
Also, regarding “hate speech,” when Christians including myself speak out against homosexuality, one of the reasons is to prevent people from ending up in hell. It is not that we want people to go to hell. We are just warning people that if you continue sinning without truly repenting, you are going to go to hell. We are not saying that we hate gay people or anything like that. What we are saying is there are serious consequences to the things we do on earth.
I think sometimes atheists don’t understand that it is because we don’t want them to end up in hell, an awful place to be in, that we preach against sins. It is not that we want them to go to hell or hate them. We don’t want people to go there.
