You know the old joke: Why did the pharaoh who chased after the Israelites die in the Red Sea? Because he was in da Nile.
OK, it was bad 3,000 years ago, and it hasn't gotten any better.
But what's interesting today is that everyone is in denial about the growing Islamic death cult – except Egypt and its courageous leader, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

He nailed the problem with Islam, while the international media and non-Muslim leaders around the world skirt the issue, pretend Islam is a "religion of peace" and deny that the world's terrorism crisis has nothing to do with Islam at all.
Even al-Sisi's address to the top clerics in Egypt got little international coverage – yet it was a momentous proclamation.

I'll bet you haven't even seen it – or read a transcript of the speech.
That's what I mean. This was an address for the ages – and it got almost no coverage in the international press because al-Sisi contradicted everything the big media have said about Islam for the last 25 years.

I urge you to watch the brief speech for yourself. (Don't worry. It's subtitled in English.)
Ask yourself:
- Have I ever seen another leader of an Islamic nation speak so bluntly about the crisis of the Muslim faith?
- Have I ever heard a top Muslim leader called for a "revolution" in the Islamic faith – which strongly implies it's long overdue for a dramatic reformation?
- Does this man know what happened to Anwar al-Sadat when he made peace with Israel?
You talk about courage – al-Sisi has it, which is more than I can say for Western leaders who sit in comfort and safety far removed from the realities of Islamic terrorism. For al-Sisi, it's a constant threat, not just to a coup, but to his very life.

Yet he took that chance, because he understands what's at stake.
Watch the speech for yourself.
That it got so little reaction from the "free world" suggests another speech like this from another courageous leader in the Islamic world is less likely to be delivered. Instead, al-Sisi should be nominated immediately for the Nobel Peace Prize, though that award has been tarnished by the poor choices of recent recipients. The al-Sisis of the world – and they are few and far between – are the kind of people awards like this were truly intended for.
Anyway, he gets my vote – for what it's worth.

Here are some highlights from the speech – but I urge you to watch it for yourself and do your best to spread it around the world to all your friends and family members. It's shockingly good news!
Remember, this speech by Egypt's president was delivered to the nation's top imams and clerics – and he's calling them out!
"It's inconceivable that the thinking that we hold most sacred should cause the entire umma (Islamic world) to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world. Impossible!
"That thinking – I am not saying 'religion' but 'thinking' – that corpus of texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the years, to the point that departing from them has become almost impossible, is antagonizing the entire world. It's antagonizing the entire world!
"Is it possible that 1.6 billion people (Muslims) should want to kill the rest of the world's inhabitants – that is 7 billion – so that they themselves may live? Impossible!
"I am saying these words here at Al Azhar (Egypt's most prestigious Islamic university), before this assembly of scholars and ulema (scholars of Muslim law) – Allah Almighty be witness to your truth on Judgment Day concerning that which I'm talking about now.
"All this that I am telling you, you cannot feel it if you remain trapped within this mindset. You need to step outside of yourselves to be able to observe it and reflect on it from a more enlightened perspective.
"I say and repeat again that we are in need of a religious revolution. You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world, I say it again, the entire world is waiting for your next move … because this umma is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost – and it is being lost by our own hands."
You have to watch it to see the audience squirming as al-Sisi delivers his remarks – to notice that not everyone is applauding such a sensible and rational speech.
Oh my!
Please put this video in the hands of everyone you know. We sure can't count on my colleagues in the media to do it.
Do we want reason to prevail in the Islamic world? Or do we want to remain in denial about the so-called "religion of peace"?
