(SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST) — The People’s Liberation Army has admitted that a “superman” Chinese soldier, who emerged unscathed after coming under a hail of fire during a training exercise, was cheating.
The soldier in the Shengyang Military Region was taking part in an infantry combat drill, but managed to avoid any “hits” registered by sensors on his uniform from the lasers mounted on “enemy” fighters’ rifles, the PLA Daily reported.
It was later discovered that the soldier, whose name and rank were not given, had covered up the sensors dotted around his body with grains of steamed rice.
