Thank you for a very thoughtful and well-written column.
My experience is different. As a father and now foster-adoptive parent, I have the great pleasure in my life to have a beautiful adopted daughter, who was born three months premature due to her mother’s horrific attempt to end my daughter’s life.
At a little over 1 pound, 6 ounces, my daughter fought for her life. After three blood transfusions and several months in intensive care, she has blossomed into a beautiful young lady and brings joy into my life every minute.
