“Until every child has been saved.”
That’s the forecast from SBA List’s Marjorie Dannenfelser about how long the work will remain for pro-life activists across the United States.
She was interviewed on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that created in the U.S. Constitution a “right” to abortion.
“For years pro-life people have been gathering on Jan. 22 to march and protest Roe v. Wade,” she said. “This has happened every year. It will continue to happen until every child has been saved.”
She said this year’s crowd of hundreds of thousands of people who gathered in Washington continues recent trends: younger, more women involved.
“Their intensity is impossible to miss. This is a group of people that knows this is the human rights issue of our day.”
She said the fighting spirit “is a beautiful thing to see.”
“If you can’t be in the march read about it,” she said. “See who’s marching. They’re young, they’re women. They are more on fire than they have been in many, many years.
“When I was starting out, there was no one my age who saw this as their civil rights movement. Obviously this has come to the fore. This is a baby, and it’s worth fighting for.”
Her organization has fought on behalf of pro-life issues for years. It has helped elect a list of more than 100 pro-life candidates to the U.S. House and others to the Senate and statewide office.
The group has more than 365,000 members nationwide.
She’s a regular commentator of Fox News’ Special Report and EWTN News Nightly, and also has appeared on The O’Reilly Factor, Fox & Friends, CNN’s John King Live and others.
