What if Obama were president during WWII?

Try to imagine what it would have been like if Barack Obama were running things at the start of World War II.

After Pearl Harbor, he would have denied the Japanese were the enemy.

"It couldn't be the Japanese that were the problem," he might say. "The people commanding those planes and aircraft carriers were not Japanese. They couldn't have been. After all, the Japanese people are good people. This attack must have been committed by some rogue elements – probably folks who don't understand the peaceful nature of the Japanese culture and religion."

Obama would then declare war not on Japan, but on sneak attacks.

"There needs to be a revision to international law," he might say. "We need to ban the use of sneak attacks and the bombing of unsuspecting neutral parties."

He might also assign the FBI and other law enforcement authorities to investigate the specific individuals who carried out this attack for prosecution in American courts.

What else might he have done?

He would deny that Germany is the problem. It couldn't be the Germans that were the enemy. Surely it was just a rogue element of Nazis responsible for invading Poland, Czechoslovakia, France and the rest of Europe. That element needed to be isolated from all the good Germans. War on Germany would not be the answer.

He might seek to employ law enforcement to stop the Nazis and the Japanese. Or he might call for targeted air strikes. But war would be unthinkable.

Why do I suggest these theoretical scenarios?

Because that's what Obama is doing now – with the crisis he faces from ISIS, al-Qaida, Hezbollah and a thousand and one other international terrorist organizations that all happen to be Islamic.

He denies there is a fundamental problem within the nature of modern-day Islam. He even denies these groups are Islamic, a religious banner they proudly carry themselves. He does this even as Muslim clerics all over the world, many of them graduates of the top Islamic schools, approve of the terrorist war on the entire non-Islamic world.

But Obama knows better.

He acts like an expert on Islam – more of an expert even than the mullahs.

Go figure.

He does this, by the way, even while courageous national leaders of Islamic nations like Egypt recognize the deep crisis within the Muslim world and call for reform.

By the way, that Egyptian leader, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, gained power in a coup designed to clean up a mess Obama created in Egypt, when he sided with the radical Muslim Brotherhood in pushing moderate Hosni Mubarak out the door.

In Libya, Moammar Gadhafi was ready to transition out of power. But that wasn't good enough for Obama. He sided with Islamic revolutionaries who not only murdered Gadhafi, but Obama's ambassador to the country as well.

Meanwhile, there's another holocaust taking place in the Middle East today. Christians are being uprooted from their homes, raped, enslaved and massacred. Shia Muslims are being butchered in Syria and Iraq. Other religious minorities are being persecuted as a vicious brand of Sunni Islam feeds the slaughter by ISIS, al-Qaida and dozens of wannabee jihadist "martyrs."

What does Obama do?

He opens the floodgates of expedited immigration to the U.S. for whom? Sunni Muslim "refugees" from Syria. Sunni Islamic extremism is the No. 1 problem in Syria. They are the ones doing the persecuting. And who gets to place tens of thousands of these "refugees" in America? The United Nations.

This is an unbelievable development. But it illustrates the absurdity of my premise.

What would Obama do had he been in charge during World War II?

He would have made a catastrophic situation unimaginably worse.
