Very interesting article: "U.S. Students jump off deep end: Renounce America" – for which there appear to be two good solutions.
First, start fracking along the St. Andreas fault and hope to stimulate a quick separation. This way we least get a little oil for our efforts, for it appears we have not gotten much for our education efforts.
Second, have the students pick countries in which they would like to continue their educations, fast track visas and passports, and one-way tickets there, collect their passports at the destinations and wish them a nice life – thus making room for those who may appreciate an opportunity at "higher" education and a future in this country.

There is a lot of money, time and effort spent by a lot of people to give our kids an opportunity for an education, and to prepare them for life. Instead, a lot our universities have become cesspools of drinking and partying, athletic money-making corporations, or breeding grounds for anti-American activities. Based on this latest widespread foolishness, isn't it about time to cut funding for those schools not doing their job of educating, and the hell with the teachers unions?
