Kindergarten teacher 'drunk in class'

(USATODAY) — ANKENY, Iowa — Police arrested a kindergarten teacher after receiving a report that she had a beer can in her classroom.

Jennifer L. Rich, 40, of West Des Moines, has been charged with public intoxication and child endangerment.

Police were called to East Elementary School at 2 p.m. Friday.

A parent who was at the school to help with a Valentine's Day party reported seeing Rich with a beer can in her classroom.
