(New York Post) A 6-day-old baby boy in Arizona is the youngest medical patient in history to successfully receive a heart transplant, hospital officials said.
"They never gave up hope, and we’re so grateful for that," Caylyn Otto told The Arizona Republic, describing the doctors who had treated her son Oliver after he was born prematurely at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
"He’s a fighter," his dad, Chris Crawford, added.

Oliver Hope — short for “all of our hope” — wasn’t expected to make it through his Jan. 9 delivery, let alone still be alive more than a month after he was born.
