(THE TOWN TALK) — A Glenmora High School teacher is facing charges for allegedly having sex with an underage student, and also is accused of going to the student's home to prevent a report being made to law enforcement, according to a release.
A complaint was made Friday to the Glenmora Police Department, alleging criminal sexual activity between the teacher — 28-year-old Donald Gene Parker III of 521 13th St. in Glenmora — and the juvenile. The person making the complaint said that Parker "had committed multiple criminal sexual acts upon the juvenile student," reads the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office release.
The release also alleges that Parker went to the student's home after finding out that someone knew about the incident and that he tried to stop the complaint being made to law enforcement. "A disturbance occurred, after which Parker III fled the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival," reads the release.
