Those boots have feet in them!

Mr. Farah:

If we had another president who truly cared about the American military lives he sends to those hellholes in the Middle East, I would not be so aggressively against further military action in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, because the reality is that he IS president and he has proven that he does not care about average American lives, much less military lives, I would not under any circumstances under this president want my military son to have to redeploy to this murderous, barbaric region to retake military targets he's already helped to take and hold, losing men under his command to do it!

I love my son far too much to see him used as a pawn on a chessboard, just another pair of "boots on the ground." How I hate that euphemism to describe our military, but it has its uses to those who want to see our military back in action (well, limited action since they cannot go in an destroy those barbarians the way they need to be destroyed, and as in Vietnam, the military have their hands tied behind their backs so that they are not allowed to commit to all-out war in those hellholes). As long as they use that hateful term "boots on the ground," they do not have to think of the military as being made up of individual people, with faces, names, souls, families, friends, personalities – just like regular people.

My son's boots have my sons feet in them, which are attached to his ankles, which are attached to his legs and so on. My son is soldier; he is not an empty pair of boots! There is nothing empty about him, including his head. He is a very intelligent, thoughtful, but thoroughly good warrior. The strategy he would use to combat these barbarians is to treat them as the barbarians they are and show no mercy until they are convinced to lay down their arms and go to their own homes. But as long as this president cares more about the Islamist terrorists than he does about American military lives, they can nuke each other's brains out for all I care. Perhaps Obama is not at war with Islam, but Islam sure as h-e-double hockey sticks is at war with America and the rest of the West.
