Does anyone believe anything Obama says about anything? If he promised the sun will rise next Monday morning, tens of millions of Americans will start planning for life in darkness, and for good reason.
Obama's plan for fighting ISIS is another lie wrapped in urgency and moral righteousness. But because 99 percent of Americans support the goal of "defeating barbarism," he will probably get away with it.
After destroying our health-care system, opening our borders even more than before, running up $6 trillion in new debt and hollowing out our military forces in the process, he now wants Congress to help him wage war on ISIS by approving the use of ground troops in certain limited situations. The kinds of situations will be limited, but he also wants "flexibility" to decide when and where and so forth.

Obama wants a congressional resolution asking him to bake a cake, but he gets to decide all the ingredients. No one will be surprised when we get brownies instead.
OK, let's admit that under the Constitution, in time of war the president is commander in chief and should have wide latitude in approving and overseeing military operations against a foreign power. The problem is that Obama hates the military and does not see radical Islam as the enemy. This unprecedented combination will produce rules of engagement that guarantee a losing strategy.

Every sane American wants to see the Islamist barbarians in ISIS wiped off the face of the earth. And every wide awake American knows Obama is not serious about doing that. He sees that he must do something about ISIS to get the issue off his back and get his party though the 2016 elections, but in his mind, actually destroying ISIS is not a practical goal.
How many more times will we trust Obama to keep a promise? He has proven himself a pathological liar, yet here we are, on the verge of trusting him to wage a real war against a real enemy – but without even NAMING the enemy!

That ISIS is not the main enemy is implicitly admitted in the wording of the resolution Obama is asking Congress to adopt. It adds among the targets for military action "associated organizations and entities," meaning al-Qaida and its branches and affiliates. Good! Now, let's ask – what is it that ties them all together? What do they have in common? The answer is radical Islam. Yet, those words never appear in this half-hearted "Authorization for Use of Military Force."
The list of Obama's lies is so long that we have lost count. But let's recount a few of the biggest lies with the most serious consequences.
"No boots on the ground in Syria or Iraq" was the promise made last September in a television address announcing a strategy of air attacks against ISIS enclaves in Syria and Iraq. But at the same time he announced he is sending 3,000 "advisers" to Iraq. presumably wearing bedroom slippers, not boots. Not to worry! Whatever their attire, they are not "combat troops," even though (we hope) they will shoot back if fired upon.
"Yemen is one of our success stories in the war on terrorism," said Obama and his secretary of state on many occasions. The president of Yemen might disagree after he was forced from office and the parliament was dissolved by rebels allied with al-Qaida.
In the wake of the failed rescue attempt and execution of American Kayla Mueller: "We do not pay ransom for hostages." Really? Less than a year ago, Obama released five terrorists held at Gitmo in exchange for one U.S. Army deserter. To compound that mistake, the White House is sitting on the Army report that confirms Sgt. Bergdahl did indeed desert his post.

One of the biggest lies of the Obama years was this: "The Benghazi attack was caused by a video shown that day on Egyptian television." That lie was repeated by Obama and half-dozen Obama puppets in the weeks following the Sept. 11, 2012, murder of our ambassador to Libya by an al-Qaida-affiliated force. The video seen on Egyptian television played no part in the Benghazi attack, which had been planned for weeks.
"Al-Qaida is on the run," Obama said in a debate with Mitt Romney in October of 2012. Surprisingly, those guys stopped running on Nov. 6, 2012.
And then there was this brazen invention out of whole cloth last summer: "Most of the children who have crossed the border will have to go home." That whopper was a lie the moment it came out of his mouth.
"Illegal aliens will not qualify for Medicaid under Obamacare." That lie was repeated by Obama and Harry Reid and just about every Democrat during the 2010 debates on health-care reform.

"If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." That has become a sick joke in every corner of the nation.
So, we have a six-year track record of lies and misinformation on dozens of issues. Whether its terrorism, health care, deficit spending, energy or border security, Obama lies whenever it suits him – and violates his oath of office at will.
It is becoming clear to anyone not still partaking of Hope and Change Kool-Aid that Obama is a charlatan and a disastrous leader. What is unknown is how much damage he can do to American freedom and national security in the remaining 23 months of his term.
