CNN pundit and Democratic strategist Sally Kohn took to Twitter to announce her fundraiser, "Sometimes in the Gutter," a bowl-a-thon campaign to help women pay for their abortions.
She has a Web page dedicated to helping with her personal goal to raise $2,000 for the New York Abortion Access Fund. Her campaign is part of a larger national effort to raise $100,000 to help fund the procedure for needy women.

In a statement reported by LifeNews, Kohn said she was simply trying to make sure all women had access to abortions.

"I'm bowling because I believe that everyone should have access to the abortions they need, regardless of how much money they have," she said, the news outlet reported. "Because of unfair and unnecessary laws, safe and legal abortions can be out of reach of those who don't have the money to pay for them. I don't think that's right, so I'm doing something about it. I'm bowling to break down barriers to abortion access."
