Conservatives are at war in America, but the enemy is not who you might think. The grass roots are engaged in a major battle with (surprise) those within the GOP who fear irrelevance: you know, that old-guard GOP elite, aka RINOs, and the organizations they trickle down their economics to. The tipping point has arrived, and the balance of power is about to shift back to where the founders intended – with the People. The major difference between common-sense, grass-roots conservatives and the RINO elite is the fact that conservatives don't want power and money; they just want to get back to the rule of law and constitutional self-governance so they can earn their own living and minimize D.C.'s power.
Sen. Ted Cruz barely uttered the words that he is running for president of the United States, and the political elite and pundits already counted him out. Faith, family and founding comprised Cruz's entire announcement. America was built on the foundations of bravery, courage and freedom. Ted Cruz offered a dramatically different perspective for common-sense Americans who seek real leadership, from the White House to Capitol Hill.
What particularly irked me after his declaration was the fact GOP insiders repeated that Cruz was not the "big party candidate." The phrase "big party candidate" is government-speak for more taxes, more spending and no changes whatsoever to help fix America. This is exactly why we need more Ted Cruzes running for president. Smaller government, the repeal of Obamacare, elimination of the IRS – music to the ears of those of us on the grass-roots front lines fighting to reclaim self-governance.

Self-governance makes RINO and DINO (Democrats in name only) heads spin like what you might see in a B-class horror movie. So I'll say it for everyone, since my commentary gets shouted from the WND mountaintop: Common-sense, grass-roots conservatives don't want consolidated power. I want every citizen to understand that the Constitution empowers individuals to make their own decisions to be free to create, innovate and grow economically, intellectually and spiritually. Dispersed power among the citizens is what our founders wanted for posterity's sake because it guarantees the most freedom for all.
Everyone knows – but many are unwilling to admit – that the federal government is broken and freedoms are diminished: massive debt, overspending, over-regulation, private-property confiscations, unprotected borders, a rogue president, a judiciary legislating from the bench and a Congress too scared to actually use the Constitution to fix the problems. Checks and balances? Huh, what's that? We have three branches of government colluding together to actually concentrate power instead of separate it.
TRENDING: Help me fight soaring suicide rates with this
It's time to begin a national dialogue on solving the challenges at hand – growing anti-Semitism worldwide; Muslim extremists who seek to conquer or kill us; unlimited spending and debt; shameless lies and pandering from the political elite on Capitol Hill that prevent our nation from even engaging in a discussion about anything. The borders are wide open. The American economy is in the toilet. Schools are failing our children simply because of politics and revisionist history. Everyone in leadership is afraid to tell the truth. If America's leaders cannot participate in an open, honest and truthful conversation, then we have two choices: commit national suicide or take back the country.
It is time for a revolution of ideas by the America people. It is time to outsmart the political elitists using our intellect, ingenuity and will to face these issues head on – not in fear, but it faith. Faith in each other. Faith in the Constitution. Faith in the future that together as Americans we can rise. Conservative groups, even with limited scope, must rethink how to engage like-minded groups in order to collaborate with the common goal being front and center: saving the American republic.

America will be saved by the states, not by the federal government. Grass-roots activists have been tireless in their efforts to educate citizens about the Constitution since 2009. The movement continues to grow, although not according to the mainstream media. I am here to say the death of the grass-roots movement in America has been greatly exaggerated. With each passing election, more historic than the previous one, nerves of the RINO elite become more frazzled as the numbers of the old-guard dwindle and new conservatives rise.
The greatest threat to America right now is the Capitol Hill elite and their insatiable appetite for more power, more money and less transparency. Speaker John Boehner has "Big Gavel Syndrome" (BGS). Mr. Speaker, it's not the size of your gavel that matters; it is how you use it.
The fear of irrelevance rides on the backs of RINOs, or anyone subverting constitutional self-governance, like a monkey. When push comes to shove, an educated populace means the political elite become irrelevant and, therefore, they fight back. Unfortunately, they fight like progressives: name calling, fear tactics, deceptive measures and misleading information is de rigueur.
We the governed must be vigilant at all times. Obviously, we got "Grubered" with Obamacare – finally finding out after five years that the joke was on us. I am tired of frauds. Mostly, I am sick and tired of the political elite, drunk with BGS, believing that the people are irrelevant.
It is time to act boldly and courageously to educate all Americans that the Constitution was written for citizens. Educated Americans are relevant to the nation's success, which makes lobbyists and those afflicted with BGS extinct and irrelevant. The reason lobbying and special-interest groups exist is because many citizens are too lazy to take civic duty seriously. We can work directly with our legislators to help create the communities, states and country we want. We must start today.

I recall that Sen. John McCain referred to Sen. Cruz as a "wacko bird" for his views on promoting smaller government, more accountability and common sense. It's time for the wacko birds to unite to defeat anyone from any party with BGS.
