House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, has used his substantial media platform to blast President Obama as a dithering, ineffective leader who is essentially clueless when it comes to slowing the spread of terrorism.
"The world is starving for American leadership," Boehner said in a well-reported press conference on Capitol Hill. "We have no strategy, overarching strategy, to deal with the growing terrorist threat."

Talking Points Memo reported Boehner also said Obama was basically sitting to the side, serving as the "anti-war president" amid a suffering world.

"It's not just ISIS or al-Qaida and all of their affiliates," he said. "We've got a serious problem facing the world and America by and large is sitting on the sidelines."
His remarks come on the heels of massive jihadist violence in Yemen – the same country the Obama administration once referred to as an example of how counter-terrorism operations should be conducted.

Just Wednesday, a coalition of forces under the command of Saudi Arabia began to bomb rebels who drove President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi out of his hometown.
The United States is supporting the airstrikes.
