Politics is an ugly business, no one can deny that – but you would hope that in the end, any president or politician would make decisions that are best for their country even if it goes against their own agenda. It takes a certain type of person to make the choice to jump into a world of fake promises, backroom deals, backstabbing and personal destruction. Many new to the political game don't realize the brutality of the world they are entering. The rewards, however, can be intoxicating. The power one feels when everyone's eyes are on you, when the press follows your every move and hangs on every word you say, can be life-altering to say the least. What is it that Lord Acton said? "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Washington and Hollywood are a lot alike, which is probably why they support each other so much. They know who they are and what they must become in order to grab the brass ring and rise to the top of the ranks. They also know how fragile that position is and how quickly one can topple off of their pedestal if someone more powerful seeks to destroy them.
Right now Barack Obama seems to hold all of the cards, because no matter what he does there is no pushback and no consequences for his disregard for the rule of law. He can do and say exactly what he pleases, and anyone who disagrees or tries to derail his agenda will suffer dearly, no matter what side of the political aisle they are on.

Obama manages to stay above the fray because of simple deniability. As long as he states that he was not aware at the time it happened, then nothing is his fault, because "he found out about it in the media, same as everyone else" – so he continues to be perceived by many as the "good guy." That is because Valerie Jarrett is his "Chicago fixer" who manages the team and puts the wheels in motion to take down any obstacles that may get in Obama's way. Along with outgoing senior adviser John Podesta in his ear, Jarrett kept Obama's likability ratings high even though his job performance numbers are low.

If you think I am being too harsh, just remember what she reportedly said back in 2012:
"After we win this election, it's our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us, and they better be ready because we don't forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded; the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay."

It seems that if these were indeed her words, then the wheels are in motion, and one by one, the obstacles standing in this administration's way are being taken out. Actually, the wheels were turning way back in 2010 with the hit on conservative groups through the IRS targeting. Now, with Obamas re-election in 2012, the gloves are off, and it looks as though anyone who dares to speak out against or thwart his decisions is being systematically destroyed.
Let's take, for example, Gen. David Petraeus, former head of the CIA, who knows more than he is telling about the attack in Benghazi. He must not have played the game to Obama's liking, because very soon after Congress started hearings looking for the truth about Benghazi, Patraeus was outed for having an affair with a woman who was writing a book about him, and he now admits to giving her classified documents. He has been forced to plead to a misdemeanor in the mishandling of documents in order to avoid prison time. This from a man who is a retired four-star general and has had a truly impressive career. This "punishment" is in sharp contrast to Bill Clinton's national security adviser, Sandy Berger who smuggled, removed and destroyed classified documents out of the National Archives, for which he got a mere slap on the wrist.
Next we have Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez, against whom the Justice Department has decided to file criminal charges for corruption. The timing is curious, because recently Menendez has voiced his concerns about the cozy relationship Obama wants to have with Cuba and more recently his adamant objections over the deal with Iran that Obama is pushing so vigorously. He has been outspoken in the media and said that the White House's talking points are "straight out of Tehran." Oops. Sorry, Bob – but you committed the cardinal sin of speaking against our fearless leader.
Our staunchest ally in the Middle East, Prime Minister Netanyahu, is being targeted as a villain and is being treated with less respect than Iran! Sharyl Attkisson, James Rosen, the Ferguson Police Department, the tea party … I could go on and on naming people and organizations that have been targeted as enemies of this administration.
The question I ask is why does Obama make it a priority to go after American citizens and crush them as though they were enemies of the state? On the flip side, why does he cozy up to the Castro regime in Cuba, the mullahs in Iran, and let the atrocities of ISIS, Boko Haram and other terrorist groups continue day after day? Why does he paint the entire police force in the U.S. with a broad brush and insinuate that they are "racists"?

It should be obvious to everyone by now that Mayor Rudy Giuliani was right when he said that Barack Obama does not love this country. Add it up, folks. Now who in Washington has the guts to do something about it?
