On Tuesday's edition of The Late Show with David Letterman on CBS, the Fox News Channel host said that he thinks NBC should rethink its suspension of the NBC Nightly News anchor, who is under investigation for his claims about his time spent reporting on the Iraq War in 2003.

"We have a sport in the United States called let's destroy the famous person," O'Reilly told Letterman. "That's what happened to him. I think NBC should bring him back. I think they will bring them back."
