When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses a joint session of the U.S. Congress Tuesday, seated in the gallery will be a man designated to represent the evangelical Christian community's support for Israel: recording legend Pat Boone.
Boone, whose record sales were second only to Elvis Presley in the 1950s, is today an author and WND columnist and explained his unique role in Netanyahu's address on "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio," broadcast on New York's AM 970 The Answer and Philadelphia's NewsTalk 990.

"I expect to be sitting in a gallery position, where if my friend Bibi Netanyahu wants to … mention that evangelical Christians are among, as he knows, Israel's most staunch supporters that number in the tens of millions in the United States, he can point to me as a representative of evangelical Christians," Boone explained. "He is aware of it; it will be up to him whether he actually singles me out."
Boone further clarified that House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, will be arranging for Boone to have a designated place so Netanyahu can point him out if he likes.

"Whether he does or not, I'll be interviewed by the press," Boone continued. "I want them to know that I believe that Israel and America are soul brothers, and we are our brother's keeper, and we are linked socially, we're linked financially, we're linked militarily, we're linked politically, and we're linked spiritually and we worship the same God.
"Right now, whether the press wants to hear it or not, or our president either, we are worshiping the God of the Bible, and this country, we owe a lot of our DNA to [the] Jews," Boone said.

"Truly, millions of American Christians … feel we trace our spiritual heritage from Abraham and through God's chosen people, and we believe that the state of Israel today is God's doing," Boone said. "[God] promised when He brought Jews back from all over the world, they would not be driven out again, and also He said he would bless those who bless Israel – and America has blessed Israel – but the other side of that coin is that He will curse those who curse Israel."
