The rise of the Islamic State was horrifying, unexpected, shocking.
And perhaps predicted by the Bible itself.

Christians around the country are noticing contemporary events are lining up with prophecy, especially the terrifying warning of a great war to come. Author Carl Gallups says Christians need to face the possibility that the "trumpet days" of Revelation already are here, and the sixth trumpet may be about to sound.
Gallups details his views in "Final Warning: Understanding the Trumpet Days of Revelation." Even a brief introduction to his work reveals startling correlations between Bible prophecy and contemporary reality.
TRENDING: Raison d'être
Gallups notes: "The sixth trumpet vision (found in Revelation 9:13-21) speaks of a great war, bigger than anything the world has seen to date. The prophecy declares that this war will take place in the area of the Euphrates River – in the veritable heart of the Middle East. Bible students sometimes refer to the war of the sixth trumpet vision as The Coming World War III.
"This 'coincidence' is simply too large to ignore. The Euphrates River begins in the mountains of northern Turkey and runs down through Syria, then through Iraq and into the Persian Gulf. This entire area just happens to be the current hotbed of the geopolitical focus of the world and the main stomping grounds of ISIS. These particular nations along the Euphrates, and the ones that surround them, are all major players in today's terror climate and Middle East upheaval."

He said, "Added to the prophetic mix is the fact that the sixth trumpet vision speaks of the vastly spiritual nature of this particular war (four angels being bound at the Euphrates River for this day and hour). Many cannot help but think of the Islamic, Israeli, and Christian connections to the brewing disaster scenario in the Middle East at this very moment."
Not surprisingly, Christian leaders and eschatological experts find Gallups' work invaluable.
Joel Richardson, author of the bestselling "The Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth about the Real Nature of the Beast" and the upcoming "When a Jew Rules the World: What Every Christian Must Know about Israel in God's Prophetic Plans," urges Bible believers to read Gallups.
"If you have a passion to study the subject of the end times, then you will love this book!" Richardson enthused. "Carl Gallups is an engaging writer who presents a truly unique perspective. Prepare to be challenged!"

An increasing number of secular commentators and nonbelievers also think Gallups' message is a guide to the problems of our time. On Sunday, Gallups' message will be broadcast to an even wider audience when he appears on "Coast to Coast" from 2 a.m. EST until 5 a.m.
Gallups believes it's crucial even for those who do not consider themselves Bible believers to heed the prophetic warnings of Scripture. Drawing on secular sources, he observes, "Various public figures around the world are calling what is currently happening in the Middle East the potential precursor to WWIII.
"It is notable that the sixth trumpet includes what most translations call a 200-million-man army. That number seems almost unthinkable when one considers that there was not anywhere close to that number of actual troops involved even in World War II.

"However, 200 million people fighting to the death in the Middle East is not a scenario currently hard to imagine. There are well over 300 million Muslims alone who live in the Middle East. When one adds to the mix the potential arrival of U.S. troops, Russian troops, European troops, north African troops from other Muslim nations, and perhaps Chinese troops – a number approaching 200 million that would actually be taking up arms in a war in such a location is not beyond any stretch of the imagination."
Gallups emphasizes he is "not dogmatic" in identifying specific events as representative of any given event prophesied in Scripture. However, he believes, we are seeing either the "biggest collection of unfathomable coincidences in the world or we might be looking at exacting prophecy being fulfilled within our historical lifetime."
Gallups says much of the important evidence in "Final Warning" isn’t about what is coming, but about what has already happened.
"Regardless of one's eschatological approach to the Revelation trumpet visions, most prophecy students agree – we are living in very interesting and undeniably prophetic times indeed. At the very least, ever since Israel returned as a nation in 1948, most would agree that something monumental happened regarding a biblical and prophetical time-marking point.

"But then, if one also considers the capturing of Jerusalem by Israel in 1967, and the current and ever growing aggregation of a coalition of nations (most of them Islamic) that are aligning themselves against Israel – which just happens to line up precisely with the prophecies of Ezekiel 38-39 – the prophetic convergences are simply too difficult to ignore."
This includes events shaping today's geopolitical climate. When pressed for an example, Gallups divulges an incredible revelation about what he believes could have been the fifth trumpet of Revelation.
"We are told by several reliable historical and geopolitical analytic sources that the first Gulf War, precipitated by Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait, was the actual precursor to the 9/11 terror attacks. That portentous day … eventually led to the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. According to the New York Times, and other sources, following on the heels of that protracted engagement against Islam, we ultimately saw the Arab Spring uprisings and now – the rise of ISIS and their unabashed announcement of a worldwide jihad.
"When these facts are coupled with the shocking detail that the name of the entity (the messenger) that brings about the fifth trumpet warning to the world is Apollyon or Abaddon – the possibilities become even more startling.

"Those two words (one is Greek, the other is Hebrew) both translate into English as The Destroyer. And, it is a heavily documented fact that the Persian word for The Destroyer is 'Saddam.'
"As we might expect, the fifth trumpet vision culminates in that of the sixth."
After being exposed to findings like this, readers of "Final Warning" are enthusiastically reviewing the book at Amazon.com.
Readers rave:
- Could not be more relevant. "Final Warning" brings the reader to a point of decision. Compelling, accurate and well written, this book illustrates the alignment between ancient wisdom and current events.
- WHAT A GREAT BOOK! It as an easy read. Carl lays out all of the scriptural references throughout the book & gives secular references to back them up.
- [I]t is absolutely amazing! I can't put this thing down! It puts all the scripture and articles I've read about the topic into perspective and into a very coherent narrative.
But Gallups sees his role as straightforward. He is simply presenting the evidence as he sees it.
"I want to spiritually and physically prepare the church for the possibility of some tough times ahead," he said.
If the current state of the Middle East is any indication, they may have already begun.
