(Columbus Dispatch ) A Fellsmere police officer who shot and killed a bull Wednesday morning is recovering at home with a leg injury.
Police Chief Keith Touchberry said Nicholas Seuderling was waiting at a bus stop outside the Sonrise Villa Apartment Complex, on Sonrise Place, and dialed 911 just before 7 a.m. to report a bull that was running loose and charged at him.
Seuderling said he was waiting for the GoLine bus when he looked up and saw the bull staring at him.
Touchberry said Seuderling said the bull chased him, so he hid behind a tree and watched the bull continue east into the complex. He also told 911 dispatchers that there were numerous middle-schoolers congregating near the entrance to the complex.
