Over my 40 years of time on this earth, the majority of which has been spent in the good ol' U.S. of A., I've lived in more than a dozen cities around this great land of ours and during that same period of time have traveled to dozens and dozens more. It would be much easier to list (which could be done on less than two hands) the number of states I haven't been to than I have.
During my many years of traveling our country, I've experienced a lot and seen even more, but to the best of my recollection there's one thing I've never noticed. I've never seen a fence, a mote, military check point or any other deterring factor that could possibly prevent someone from voluntarily leaving the greatest country on the planet. Provided that you're not a felon and aren't carrying any illegal contraband, vacating this country is quite simple.
So why do I choose to state such an obvious point? It's because the lunatic fringe – which never seems to take a rest and rarely finds itself at a shortage of opportunities to undermine the integrity and fundamental principles this nation was founded upon while stifling the freedoms and liberties of a much larger majority – has once again managed to top itself.

Considering the fact that many of us stopped drinking the Kool-Aid years ago with regard to the limited existence of impartial journalism, we have, over time, learned to take most "news" reporting with a grain of salt. We realize that most likely the information we're receiving is nothing more than a public service announcement for the Democratic Party. There are stories out there, however, that not even the mouthpieces of the left-wing agenda can spin in such a way as to still support their obnoxious platform.
Try as they might, the facts are simply too vulgar not to create a face on the hearer of those facts that mimics the look one gets upon being exposed to the stench of raw sewage. I've learned over the years, though, that when I encounter such an appalling account all it takes is a mild effort of simply pulling back a few layers, and the story is actually much worse than it even initially appeared.

In the past several weeks, media have reported on the activities of the lunatic fringe in two specific cases. One being at the University of California, Irvine and another at the University of Michigan. Now, I've said for years that a great place to start taking our country back from the idiocy perpetrated by the left is on our college campuses, and the two stories to which I'm referring are tremendous examples of why such a suggestion makes a lot of sense.

On the campus of the University of California, Irvine, media reported a story that the university was banning all flags, including the American flag, from the lobby of the building that houses the offices of student government. The reasons given for such a suggested resolution are ridiculous and will therefore not be discussed at this time. It can be summed up as typical idiot 20-year-olds behaving like typical idiot 20-year-olds. What you had to do a bit of prying to discover, however, was how the resolution was introduced and ultimately passed.
As it turns out it took only six students in a population of over 22,000 to ban what is perhaps the greatest symbol of freedom, inclusion and tolerance in the world. Do I even need to delve into the irony? Six students under the guise of inclusion and tolerance forced their will on 22,000.
Now let's move on to the University of Michigan, which was offering a campus-wide showing of what has turned out to be the greatest and perhaps most informative movie on American warfare and heroism in history, "American Sniper." Similar to the left-wing stifling of personal freedom and inclusiveness at UCI, approximately 300 fantastically naïve dolts, mainly from the Muslim Student Foundation and the Students Allied for Freedom and Equality, a largely Palestinian student organization, imposed their will on the more than 27,000 other students who simultaneously attend the university. Their "reasoning" was that the movie "perpetuates negative and misleading stereotypes" regarding Muslims. Correct me if I'm wrong, but one need look no further than the nightly news on any network to have negative images of Muslims perpetuated. Do these students plan on attacking the content of the major networks next?
From my observations over the past two decades, I've gathered a perspective that the left and much of their ill-conceived backward agenda is nothing more than glorified lip service with gross contradictions in actual practice. As much of the media are nothing more than a mouthpiece for these various platforms, it can seem to the lay observer that six individuals at UCI and a Palestinian student organization at U of M are in the progressive majority. As is almost always the case, however, upon further investigation it's the left-wing sympathizers behaving precisely antithetical to what much of their words profess.
So to all those left-wingers out there, and you know who you are: You're the radical gay rights activists who bully pizza parlor owners out of business; you're the ones who take your case to the ACLU to have any mention of God removed from government buildings and prayer taken out of schools; you're anyone whose lifestyle would not survive in much of the world, yet you seek to impose the very type of controlling will on others that were it applied to you would lead to your end as you know it.

I've traveled this country from sea to shining sea and back again, and for the life of me I can't find a single thing that is keeping you in this wretched place that you so seem to hate. Might I suggest another country where your brand of forced inclusion/exclusion is already in practice? North Korea immediately comes to mind, or perhaps Syria, or maybe a multitude of other countries where your brand of oppression is already alive and well. So my advice to you is simply to be happy: Be overjoyed that you're allowed to exist as you see fit in the greatest country on earth, and stop trying, under the guise of "tolerance," to transform my country into the type of place your ancestors most likely fled from.
