(Sommerville Courier News) A township resident who owned two defense contracting businesses is facing prison time after being charged with sending sensitive military technical data to India in an effort to illegally outsource manufacturing work.
Hannah Robert, 49, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Anne E. Thompson with conspiracy to violate the Arms Export Control Act.
"She was also charged with manufacturing substandard parts that were not up to spec, in violation of the contracts she signed with the Department of Defense. Enforcement of the Arms Export Control Act is critical to the defense of our country," New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said in a statement Wednesday.
