Re: "Social Security insolvent sooner than expected"
With regard to the article about the more rapid failure of the Social Security program, first let me explain it is not a program whereby the government gives retirees a gift each month but the benefits of an insurance policy protecting us against financial insolvency. Thanks to our Texan president, Lyndon B. Johnson, and a worthless Congress allowing him to steal the Social Security money and transfer it to the general fund, we now have a problem. Therefore, it is still the responsibility of Congress to see that the program does not fail.
Obama sends multibillions to foreign interests, and Congress holds the purse strings. Deny a couple of these grants, and the Social Security program would be out of the woods. I don't know about the rest of the seniors, but this one ain't going to take this lying down anymore.
