(WGCL-TV) You may have seen one of these new signs asking people not to run from police for their own safety. The creators describe their slogan as just plain, common sense.
The signs went up Monday, but now that billboard campaign is already suspended because of opposition from the Atlanta city council.
Atlanta's Citizen Review Board created the campaign to educate people about what they can do instead of encouraging a potential misunderstanding.

"We need to get this message out to the public: Don't run. Whatever's going to happen is going to happen. Stand there and deal with it," said ACRB executive director Samuel Lee Reid.
