Pranksters plant tree in front of pitcher's mound

'If we can find out who did it, they'll get the bill'

(DAYTON DAILY NEWS) — Pranksters have taken “Going Green” to a new level at Franklin High School.

No one as yet has claimed responsibility, but someone or a group of people planted a tree in the middle of the high school baseball infield last weekend.

A 25-foot tall tree between the pitcher’s mound and home plate greeted players who arrived for a doubleheader Saturday morning at Franklin Community Park.
