Mr. Farah,
I appreciate your recent column, “A Bible study for evangelicals on amnesty,” on the Bible and illegal immigration. It needs to be said again and again. Unfortunately, the profundity of Bible study in many of our evangelical churches is not too deep, so many evangelicals fall prey to such slogans.
Another example is the catchy slogan, “Who would Jesus deport?” It sounds really cool, but when you analyze it biblically, it falls flat. I invite you to read an article I wrote that deals with that slogan.
Keep up the good work, these are perilous times.
