Dear Mr. Farah,
I was stopped dead in my tracks this morning when I read Mr. Schanberg's article from 2008 about John McCain and the POWs.
As a college student in the 1980s, I took a year and read everything I could get my hands on about the Vietnam War. The one thing I came away with was the disbelief that we had left American soldiers in that God-forsaken hell hole. As an average citizen I wrote letters, made phone calls, donated money and did whatever I could to try and get people to care, but I finally gave up. I am not sure why. I guess I saw it was going nowhere, and the most known and respected POW of them all, John McCain, said there was nothing there.

I am praying that one day the families of these POWs and our country will have some closure on this national disgrace.
Thanks for everything you do.
