"Black Lives Matter" protesters took over the stage at a progressive event to hear Democratic presidential candidates speak.
"Black Lives Matter" activists shut down the speeches of Democratic presidential hopefuls Martin O'Malley and Bernie Sanders, giving the Maryland governor and New Hampshire self-declared socialist senator what some see is a taste of the liberal party's own censorship medicine.
Angry protesters took over the NetRoots Nation progressive convention in Phoenix, Arizona, shouting over the candidates' rhetoric and clamping their ability to sell their political platforms. And as Breitbart reported: The incident was somewhat laughable, given the left's penchant for shutting down disfavorable talk from those on the right.

The protesters jumped to the stage to scream black people are "in a state of emergency" due to police violence. O'Malley tried to speak to the issue, but was overcome by shouts, Breitbart reported.

The National Journal described the scene this way: "Several dozen activists burst into the Phoenix Convention Center meeting hall as former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley was 20 minutes into a planned 40-minute moderated discussion. They sang, 'What side are you on, people, what side are you on?' [They] chanted, and eventually were given a microphone by conference organizers to ask O’Malley a question about police-involved violence."
O'Malley then reportedly said, "Black lives matter, white lives matter, all lives matter," and was subsequently shouted down again, the news outlet reported. He ultimately left the stage.

The National Journal said Sanders suffered the same fate.
The Daily Caller caught some of the Twitter response to the scene, including one post from Chris Moody, who wrote: "Bernie Sanders touts Obamacare at #Inn15. People shout, 'We can't afford that!'"
