President Obama, in what's sure to emerge as a public relations disaster, sent out a tweet just two hours before the domestic terrorist attack in Chattanooga, Tennessee, that left four U.S. Marines dead that said, in essence: Happy Eid-ul-Fitr, all you Muslims of the world.
His tweet, from the White House account, as reported by Breitbart: "'From my family to yours, Eid Mubarak!' – @POTUS to Muslims celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr."

Obama, along with his wife, Michelle, also issued a statement about Eid-ul-Fitr, extending the "warmest wishes to Muslims in the United States and around the world," he said.

"As Muslims mark the end of the month, they are reminded that Ramadan is a time to reflect spiritually, build communally, and aid those in need," the first couple said, the White House Twitter account showed. "While Eid marks the end of Ramadan, it marks a new beginning for each individual – a reason to celebrate and express gratitude on this holiday."
The Obamas also reminded of the importance of respecting all faiths.

"As Muslim Americans celebrate Eid across America, the holiday is a reminder to every American of the importance of respecting those of all faiths and beliefs," the statement went on. "This past year New York City Public Schools announced adding Eid to their official school calendars alongside Christmas, Hanukkah and other holidays – an acknowledgement of the great diversity and inclusiveness that adds to the richness of our nation. ... Michelle and I hope today brings joy to all of your homes, both here in the U.S. and around the world."
Obama's official remarks about the shootings that killed four Marines and left a Marine, a sailor and a police officer critically injured, are they were committed at the hands of a lone gunman. As WND previouly reported. Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez was born in Kuwait and had a Jordanian citizenship, then emigrated to America with his family and became a naturalized citizen.
He was shot and killed by police, WND also reported.
Obama, in a tweeted video in the minutes after the Chattanooga shooting, called the incident a "heartbreaking circumstance."
"We take all shootings very seriously. Obviously when you have an attack on a U.S. military facility, then we have to make sure that we have all the information necessary to make an assessment in terms of how this attack took place and what further precautions we can take in the future," Obama said.

"I'd ask all Americans to pray for the families who are grief-stricken at this point," Obama said. "And I want everybody to understand that we will be thorough and prompt in figuring out exactly what happened."
