The abortionists at Planned Parenthood, left reeling by a series of undercover videos exposing their sale of the body parts of unborn children, now are threatening to punish the messenger.
Seven videos so far have been released by the Center for Medical Progress, with the latest revealing a former worker for a body-parts procurement company discussing how brains were extracted from babies that were still alive.
Planned Parenthood has insisted it does not break the law and does not profit from the sale of body parts.
But now, Dawn Laguens, a vice president for Planned Parenthood, has told the Hill in an interview that her group will review whatever options it has to respond to the videos.
“We are considering everything,” she told the Hill. “I’m not a lawyer – but everything is on the table when you look at these videos and the fraud and the conspiracy behind it.”
The furor created by the videos spread worldwide. Multiple states have begun investigations, several have withdrawn funding from Planned Parenthood and members of Congress are moving to withhold more than half-a-billion dollars of taxpayer funds given to the abortionists annually.
Some of the investigations have not resulted in any charges, primarily in states where the organ-harvesting program is not operating.
Laguens told the Hill her group will continue to take federal funds and charged that the Center for Medical Progress “violated laws in terms of how they secured these videos.”
She called politicians’ demands to halt funding a “political stunt.”
And she challenged CMP to release “all of the videos and the course footage unedited.”
Actually, the CMP has released multiple hours of unedited videos for viewers to determine the accuracy of their edited presentations.
And the group maintains its investigation and videoing were conducted legally.
The Los Angeles Times reported “the recorded conversations and shocking images of fetal tissue have ignited skirmishes across the country.” Planned Parenthood supporters have rallied, with one online petition collecting 900,000 signatures, and the New England Journal of Medicine has published essays backing the organization.
“Even so,” the Times said, “the latest video – accompanied by a blog post whose headline read ‘Planned Parenthood aborted baby’s heart still beating in late-term organ harvesting case” – is an indication the fight is far from over.
Meanwhile, LifeNews reported rallies are being scheduled over the weekend at more than 180 cities in 43 states to speak out against the abortion business.
WND reported after the most recent video was released that Theresa Deisher, Ph.D., a scientist who recently went public with her belief that Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers harvest organs from live babies, said she was sickened to see her belief confirmed by the newest Center for Medical Progress video.
She said the horror is compounded by knowing fetal organ research yields virtually no medical progress and that other depraved experiments may be happening.
Former StemExpress procurement technician Holly O’Donnell told of watching a Planned Parenthood employee prepare to harvest the brain of a newly aborted baby.
“This is the most gestated fetus and the closest thing to a baby I’ve seen. [The Planned Parenthood employee] was like, ‘OK, I want to show you something.’ So she has one of her instruments and she just taps the heart and it [starts] beating. I’m sitting here looking at this fetus and its heart is beating and I don’t know what to think,” said O’Donnell in the video.
“It had a face. It wasn’t completely torn up. It’s nose was very pronounced. It had eyelids, and its mouth was pronounced. Since the fetus was so intact, she said, ‘Well, OK, this is a really good fetus and it looks like we can procure a lot from it. We’re going to procure brain. So what you do is you go through the face.’ I’m thinking, no, I don’t want to do this,” continued O’Donnell.
Deisher, CEO of AVM Biotechnology, told WND and Radio America the revelations of the latest CMP video “just made me sick and really a horrible, sinking feeling in my stomach.”
Deisher said her suspicion of such grisly tactics came from years of studying scientific journals and learning which fetal organs are most highly desired.
“For the heart research, they look for fetal gestation age of 20 weeks or beyond,” said Deisher, noting that babies as young as 22 weeks in the womb have survived premature births.
“In their descriptions, it was just very clear that those babies had to be alive when they took their tissues because the scientists in their publications say that they have to have the material in their special digesting buffers within five minutes,” she explained. “That wouldn’t be possible with other situations.”

An old story
WND also has reported that as horrific as the videos appear, they should surprise no one, since such practices have been documented for nearly two decades already.
A price list uncovered by a pro-life organization dated June 1998 shows that the price per specimen from a second trimester abortion is $90 fresh and $130 frozen.
Mark Crutcher, whose Life Dynamics organization was a ground-breaker in investigating the abortion behemoth that gets some $500 million annually from U.S. taxpayers, worked on that investigation.
His group reported back in February 2000 how the baby parts market works: “A baby parts ‘wholesaler’ enters into a financial agreement with an abortion clinic in which the wholesaler pays a monthly ‘site fee’ to the clinic. For this payment, the wholesaler is allowed to place a retrieval agent inside the clinic where he or she is given access to the corpses of children killed there and a workspace to harvest their parts.”
He continued: “The buyer – usually a researcher working for a medical school, pharmaceutical company, bio-tech company or government agency – supplies the wholesaler with a list of the baby parts wanted. … when such orders are received … they are faxed to the retrieval agent at the clinic who harvests the requested parts and ships them to the buyer.”
The documentation was provided at that time to Life Dynamics by a worker who left Comprehensive Health for Women, a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Overland Park, Kansas.

Among the documents was a “Fee-for-Services” Schedule A, effective June 1998, which outlined a charge of $220 per specimen for first-trimester aspiration abortions and $260 if the baby parts were frozen.
Crutcher’s report, citing Planned Parenthood’s own paperwork, found that one agent sold during February 1996 alone 47 livers, 11 liver fragments, seven brains, 21 eyes, eight thymuses, 23 legs, 14 pancreases, 14 lungs, six arms and one kidney-adrenal gland.
He also sold three orders of blood from the unborn child. The retrieval agent “harvested all of the parts,” the report said, explaining that “in order for the blood of an aborted child to be sold, the dead baby had to be brought to him intact.”
The “specimens,” the report said, would have generated up to about $25,000 in revenue for one month from one retrieval agent at one Planned Parenthood business.
Crutcher reported that the tissue logs reveal that one baby is often chopped up and sold to many buyers.
For example, babies taken from donors 113968 and 114189 were both killed late in their second trimester and cut into nine pieces. By applying the price list, buyers would have been invoiced between $3,510 and $5,070 for these parts, he said.
