Black Lives Matter activists are nonpartisan when it comes to pointing out their grievances with politicos, saying Democrats just as much as Republicans aren’t that useful to their cause – that liberals are just as controlling as their political counterparts when it comes to black people.

The group, in a statement, first referenced the recently adopted Democratic National Committee resolution giving a thumbs-up to the Black Livers Matter cause, and then said: big deal.

“[It] in no way implies an endorsement of the DNC [by us],” Black Lives Matter said, the Hill reported. “The Democratic Party, like the Republican and all political parties, have historically attempted to control or contain black people’s efforts to liberate ourselves.”

In a statement posted on Facebook, the activist group also said the DNC amended its resolutions without the consultation or support of Black Lives Matter.

“True change requires real struggle and that struggle will be in the streets and led by the people, not by a political party,” the group wrote.

In “Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America,” Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson – a true black leader whom many affectionately call “the other Jesse” – shows how the civil rights establishment has made a lucrative career out of keeping racial strife alive in America.

Members also said it’s not likely the Democratic Party’s statement would ever bring about the changes the activists want.

“More specifically, the Black Lives Matter Network is clear that a resolution from the Democratic National Committee won’t bring the changes we seek. Resolutions without concrete change are just business as usual. Promises are not policies,” the Facebook posting read. “We demand freedom for black bodies, justice for black lives, safety for black communities, and rights for black people. We demand action, not words, from those who purport to stand with us.”

The group wrapped by saying “our only endorsement goes to the protest movement we’ve built together with Black people nationwide – not the self-interested candidates, parties, or political machine seeking our vote.”
