Conservative talk-radio star Mark Levin took to Twitter to unleash a scathing criticism of Ann Coulter, calling her recent comments about Donald Trump’s immigration plan “among the most pathetic” he’s ever heard.
Coulter took to social media to praise the Republican presidential front-runner for his tough immigration stance, saying it was time to stop “nit picking” Trump on his conservative credentials. Coulter warned Democrats will rule the White House “for the rest of our lives” if Republicans don’t tackle immigration.
“These morons with their little position papers on how to replace Obamacare, deal with Iran and defund planned parenthood too stupid to grasp that they’ll never be in a position to do any of that unless we stop foreigners from voting in our elections,” she wrote. “Without @realDonaldTrump’s immigration plan, it will be nothing but Obamas and Hillarys as president for the rest of our lives.”
The adamantly pro-life Coulter then tweeted in obvious hyperbole: “I don’t care if @realDonaldTrump wants to perform abortions in White House after this immigration policy paper.” The tweet followed Trump’s admission in a “Meet the Press” interview that it’s possible he donated to Planned Parenthood in the past.
She also likened Trump’s documented immigration plan to “the greatest political document since the Magna Carta.”
Levin, a former member of the Reagan administration, responded with a social media hit against Coulter. “These have to be among the most pathetic comments by anyone in a long time,” he wrote.
This isn’t the first time Levin has taken jabs at Coulter. In 2012, the talk show host addressed Coulter’s criticisms of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and said on his radio show: “This may get me in trouble, but I don’t really care. … There’s Ann Coulter, gives a speech to a small Republican Party gathering. And what does she do? She trashes, if not directly but indirectly Sarah Palin,” the Daily Caller reported.
