(Mediaite) According to reporting from CNN’s Brian Stelter, Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes threatened to “got to war” with Donald Trump unless he toned down his criticisms of Fox News and anchor Megyn Kelly.
Stelter reports that the weekend after the debate, Ailes and Trump were engaged in behind-the-scenes talks. Trump wanted an apology for Kelly’s pointed questions, while Ailes wanted Trump to stop the pointed and sexist attacks on one of his anchors.
