WASHINGTON – What’s this? The owner of the “fair and balanced network” urging former New York mayor and fellow billionaire media mogul Michael Bloomberg to jump into the most heavily contested presidential race in America’s history?

Murdoch is known to be a Bloomberg pal, but the latter was known as no friend of business as mayor. He was accused by conservatives as running the city like a “nanny state.”

Nevertheless, Murdoch Tweeted out Sunday the plea for Bloomberg to jump into the race – not suggesting which party he might affiliate with.

“With Trump becoming very serious candidate, it’s time for next billionaire candidate, Mike Bloomberg to step into ring. Greatest mayor,” he wrote.

Murdoch makes no bones about the fact that he has no use for Donald Trump, the leading Republican presidential candidate. Fox News personalities publicly announced they were preparing surprises for Trump in the first debate – and two of them, Chris Wallace and Megyn Kelly were aggressive in their questions.

Trump shot back that Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”

Murdoch continued Tweeting on Bloomberg, adding: “Agree much about Bloomberg, nannystate, etc, but still a great philanthropic executive who, with Guiliani, made NY the greatest. … I did not say I would vote for him! Just a friend I admire.”

Obviously, Trump, the other billionaire, is not.
