Teacher ‘sends topless selfie to student’

(NBC NEWS) — A Mobile County, Alabama, middle school teacher has been placed on leave after officials say she shared a topless selfie with one of her students.

Andrea Slade, 32, turned herself in to police on Friday, but no charges were immediately announced, reported NBC affiliate WPMI. Slade, a married mother of two, is an eighth grade science teacher at Hankins Middle School.

“We take these complaints very seriously. When an incident like this occurs, we act immediately,” Mobile County Public School Superintendent Martha Peek told WPMI.
