I don’t think this will happen [“GOP elites plot to purge Trump”].
George Will and the rest of the so-called conservative GOP establishment have’t yet noticed that Trump has already eaten their lunch. That’s how dumb they are. They boast as if they matter. He is the GOP now – unless, of course, the GOP establishment can figure out a way to rig the primary vote.
They ought be very careful. Trump has them in check. Screw with him, and it’s a third-party run. (The GOP leadership is, as Trump says, really stupid, so I wouldn’t put this past them.) Block him from the debates, and he’ll respond on social media – and the blocking of him will make him all the more popular because the GOP will have proved his point. They’re thick as bricks.
The GOP nominal leadership inner circle is effete. They get the House in 2012, the Senate in 2014 and then turncoat on the voters who gave them Congress. Screw the GOP. These guys are done.
Trump may just go the distance. Lots of women, blacks, Hispanics and independents like what they’re seeing and hearing. Trump is a winner with a track record. The rest look like sub-kindergarten fussy ninnies.
