"When injustice becomes law, rebellion becomes duty."
– Thomas Jefferson
This week, I was invited to appear on Dr. Drew's show on HLN to discuss the Republican debates. That is what we did, for the first two segments. Then a woman from Black Lives Matter stood in the audience and would not be silenced. She was the first guest ever removed from the audience by security, Dr. Drew told me.

The mood was shifted. The audience was irate. They wanted to know why the Black Lives Matter movement wasn't mentioned in the GOP debate. I was confounded that they could not understand that conservatism, at its base, is about getting government out of the lives of people, and re-establishing the family. To me, that would solve the problems the Black Lives Matter folks say matter to them most.
Further, I believe the evidence is there in that Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Ben Carson all prove that minority Americans can find a big welcome in conservative circles. When I made that assertion, I was told it was "offensive" for me to speak to that issue.
TRENDING: Call it the 'End Times Truth': God doesn't play favorites
Why are we told conservatives are racist? Where did that lie even start?

It almost seems laughable (if it weren't such an egregious charge) to a conservative that they would be considered racist. But consider for a moment how important it is to the political powers that be that racial division remains. They campaign on it, they profit from it, and they maintain their power base upon those who will be used in this manner.
Certainly, there are members of the Black Lives Matter group who just want to hurt cops. That is sinister and evil. That is not a protest. No one who is sane wants to kill someone simply for the job he or she does. While tribalism and mob mentality undoubtedly play a role in the movement, many of the Black Lives Matter protesters say they want the same things tea-party protesters wanted back when they were holding rallies across the nation – for the government to leave them alone.
Smaller government is the rallying cry of the conservative. Smaller government automatically means fewer police, and fewer invasions into the lives of private citizens by government agents.
These days, SWAT teams are created even in the smallest municipalities around the country. Tragedies often occur when these teams barge into the wrong houses and hurt innocent Americans. The Cato Institute documents police raids gone wrong. Local police, with the help of the federal government, are becoming militarized, and innocent Americans are dying because of it.

Conservatives believe in constitutional rights and the Fourth Amendment protections against illegal search and seizure. Stop and frisk is not constitutional. Checkpoints to search vehicles without a warrant are also not constitutional, and conservatives detest such things, as members of the Black Lives Matter movement say they do.
Conservatives believe in fewer and simpler laws on the books. From seatbelt laws to numerous traffic laws, these days there is no way to go about your daily life without breaking a law. Naturally, some police use those laws to stop law-abiding citizens and fish for other violations. It frustrates every law-abiding citizen, regardless of color.
Conservatives believe in transparency in police departments. Information should be shared with the public, and body cameras and other monitoring devices should be used to hold police accountable. You could check that off the list of demands from Black Lives Matter if conservatives had their way.
Conservatives believe you should be able to defend yourself and your family (thanks to the Second Amendment, which protects that right) and not rely solely on police and government agencies for protection. Imagine if law-abiding black Americans weren't sitting ducks for gangs in cities like D.C. and Chicago. Concealed carry reciprocity could literally be lifesaving if implemented nationwide. Donald Trump brought national attention to that issue this week, and that is another reason why an incredible number black Americans supports him.

Conservatives believe every life is created equal, no matter their sex, color or stage of life (including in the womb or at the end of life). According to BlackGenocide.com, on average, 1,876 black babies are aborted every day in the United States. A 1993 Howard University study showed that black women over age 50 were 4.7 times more likely to get breast cancer if they had had abortions, compared to women who had not had abortions.
"Several years ago, when 17,000 aborted babies were found in a dumpster outside a pathology laboratory in Los, Angeles, California, some 12-15,000 were observed to be black."
– The late Erma Clardy Craven, social worker and civil rights leader
Conservatives believe in a colorblind system (free markets) where the best person for the job is hired, no matter their skin color. When the goal of a business is to make a profit, they hire the best no matter who they are – whether they are gay, straight, young, old, male, female or any color.
Conservatives believe that parents know best about how to raise and educate their children. Democrats block school-choice initiatives proposed by conservatives because they are in the pocket of the teachers' unions. Black Americans want a quick solution to the problems plaguing inner-city youth. Give these students and parents the choice to move to better schools, and you will see quick results.
There are many examples where the Black Lives Matter movement would agree with the conservative movement if we were only given the chance to talk.
There is one great disagreement between black and white Americans that must be overcome. Mason Weaver addresses it in a way that I have never heard anyone say it before. I had him on my show, America Trends on YTA (YouToo America) Network, to comment on the Black Lives Matter incident on Dr. Drew's show. This interview is one of the most powerful I have ever done in my time in media.
If the divisiveness would stop and a civil discussion could happen, the common goals of conservatives and Black Lives Matter would quickly become apparent. However, Democrats and some Republicans in power in Washington, D.C., want to make sure we never come to that realization.
The Black Lives Matter folks may have to decide if they really believe in what they are fighting for enough to take an honest look at who is keeping them down. How powerful could a united American people be against a growing government? I say we would be unstoppable.
