As a faithful Catholic, there's really little of the pope's visit to celebrate, and much to criticize. If the likes of Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, the gays and other enemies of the Catholic Church all LIKE Pope Francis, that sends a strong signal that he is not with us on the issues. There are multiple examples:
For example, when Pope Francis talked about the sanctity of life to Congress, he not only did not mention abortion, but he immediately pivoted to specifically mention ending capital punishment. When Pope Francis mentioned fundamental relationships are being called into question, as is the basis of marriage and family, and he said he can only reiterate the importance and beauty of "family life," he failed to say marriage between a man and woman is the basis of marriage and family life. We now have gay "families" all over the world. He failed to call Islam for what it is, and said, "We know that no religion is immune from forms of extremism." Including his own religion, Catholicism, and implicitly Christianity?!
Most conservatives who follow Pope Francis see him as a wolf in sheep's clothing. My sense is that you probably do also. If feels like Mr. Norris was doing his best to put a tutu on a pig.
