Lucas Kinney, the son of one of Hollywood's assistant directors on mega-hits like "Braveheart," "Rambo," and "Indiana Jones," has surfaced in Syria as a new member of al-Qaida.
He's cut a video with his newfound terrorist friends decrying the brutality of ISIS.

In the spot, Kinney complains about al-Qaida operatives getting blown up by ISIS members during the holy month of Ramadan while they were fatigued from "a long hard battle with the regime," the Daily Beast reported.

The video was shot for the al-Qaida tied Al Nusra Front inside a mosque in Ariha. The background of bloody walls and broken glass is reportedly due to an ISIS attack on al-Qaida.

"[The scene is from] the force of the explosion here, a number of the brothers were sent flying out of this window," said Kinney, in emotional statements on the video, the news blog said.
Kinney was a highly educated college dropout. His mother, who lives in England, said her son, 26, wanted to be a Catholic priest when he was younger.
