(The Oregonian) President Barack Obama met Friday with the families of the victims of the Umpqua Community College shooting.
He arrived in Eugene at abotu 11:40 p.m., switched to a helicopter that took him to Roseburg, where he was met by Gov. Kate Brown.
Protestors and supporters awaited him, the crowds growing in size from tens of people at 9 a.m. to hundreds by noon.

Obama didn't address the crowds, but took a motorcade to Roseburg High School for about an hour and then returned to the airport and left.
