Obama tries to obstruct justice in Hillary email probe

"I don't think it posed a national security problem," President Barack Hussein Obama said last Sunday in an interview on CBS' "60 Minutes." Concerning Hillary Clinton's use of an unsecured, private email server for her communications as secretary of state, Obama added: "This is not a situation in which America's national security was endangered."

Once again, Obama reveals his contempt for the national security of our nation – which, we might recall, happens to be his main job as commander in chief. This was Obama's version of "What difference does it make?" National security seems only important to Obama and his leftist minions when used as a pretext to justify spying on hundreds of millions of U.S. citizens.

In Obama's world, Edward Snowden's revelations that Americans' privacy is being violated was a threat to national security. To Obama, Russian hackers literally reading Hillary's mail, probably in real time, during negotiations with Iran over its nuclear weapons programs and the conduct of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, is no big deal. Perhaps Obama would be fit better in Russia. Maybe we could trade Obama for Snowden.

It is becoming clear that Ambassador Chris Stevens' travel plans and security arrangements in Benghazi, Libya, were revealed in emails sent to and forwarded from Hillary Clinton as secretary of state. As we learn more about the poor safeguards of her email server against computer hacking, we realize that Hillary's selfishness and devious duplicity led directly to the deaths of four U.S. diplomats and personnel.

Islamic militants knew exactly where Ambassador Stevens was going to be, remote from the more-secure U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, and exactly when. And they knew how weak the security was at the Benghazi compound, likely as a result of reading Hillary's emails. U.S. diplomats are most likely dead because Hillary did not use the secure email systems set up and maintained by State Department professionals to preserve secrecy.

When it comes to Hillary's emails being intercepted from an unsecured server, "What difference, at this point, does it make?" Iranian negotiators ran circles around the Western world. I represent the parents of Michael Strange, who are still trying to get the facts as to how Taliban fighters in Afghanistan knew exactly where and when SEAL Team 6, which killed Osama Bin Laden, was going to fly in on an aging Chinook 47-D helicopter to a remote mountain in Afghanistan. The evidence shows that their attackers traveled a long distance to ambush them. Who tipped off the Islamic jihadists that SEAL Team 6 was on that helicopter and exactly where to ambush them?

The lack of concern for national security by this administration is treasonous. It is readily forgotten that Hillary Clinton leaked to David Sanger of the New York Times the efforts by Israel to slow down Iran's quest to build a nuclear bomb. Israel had planted a computer virus into Iran's centrifuges refining uranium ore into weapons-grade, at great personal risk to an undercover agent. Hillary leaked details about the Stuxnet virus and other Israeli efforts to stop Iran's nuclear weapons development to cripple Israel's defense and help Iran, as well as make Obama look tough ahead of the 2012 elections. Our Freedom of Information Act requests are painstakingly pulling out documentation about this.

Obama and his administration never cared about defending a country they despise. After all, Obama's team leaked the identity of SEAL Team 6, which was classified information. The outing of CIA staffer Valerie Plame, not undercover, was a huge scandal. But when the classified secret of who raided bin Laden's compound was revealed, we hear silence. Nor can the American public even confirm that bin Laden was killed, as photos of his alleged dead body have been suppressed thanks to the Mullah in Chief and his plaint judicial appointees on the D.C. federal court. Every member of SEAL Team 6 instantly realized they had just had a bull's-eye painted on their backs. Now, many of them are actually dead.

But Obama is returning the favor for Hillary's help in 2012, just as presidential candidate and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders gave Hillary cover in the Democratic debate Tuesday, or perhaps Obama has been threatened by the Clintons in some way.

Next Thursday, Oct. 22, Hillary Clinton will finally answer questions in a hearing before the Benghazi select committee. She will grandstand and try to run out the clock, as each member asks disjointed and uncoordinated questions and the Democrats holler distractions. She will not take responsibility for endangering all of us.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Freedom Watch will file our appeal brief in my lawsuit against the Clintons under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. We were the first to legally demand that Hillary hand over her email server. In our lawsuit, I filed several motions for the court to immediately seize the server, preserve evidence and seek to recover the 32,000 allegedly deleted emails. The court never ruled on our motion, but on the same day the FBI finally seized the server, the judge, not coincidentally a Clinton appointee, dismissed the case on standing grounds. We are working even now on the appeal to continue to hold the Clintons accountable for their RICO conspiracy.

There is reason to believe, as I laid out in our RICO lawsuit, that the deleted emails the FBI forensic team is recovering will reveal the widespread sale by the Clintons of government actions, waivers, official endorsements and favorable interpretations, in return for massive speaking fees and donations. In other words, a massive scheme of organized bribery is likely to be discovered among the emails Hillary tried to conceal. Back in the 1990s, I revealed, while at Judicial Watch, this type of illegal behavior by Hillary Clinton with the communist Chinese.

Meanwhile, Obama's comments dismissing the national security risks of Hillary's do-it-yourself email system, have outraged the professional, non-political FBI agents who are still investigating. As their ultimate boss, Obama's comments are widely seen as a signal to the FBI to back off. He is obstructing justice by interfering with the investigation.

Reports indicate that FBI agents are focused on breaches of national security. Obama's comments directly contradict and undermine the main focus of the ongoing probe. Indications are that Hillary is likely to be charged with violating 18 USC 793 subsection F, for gross negligence in mishandling classified information, facing up to 10 years in jail – if investigators are not hamstrung by political interference. Unfortunately, it appears – despite the independent integrity of current FBI Director James Comey – that the fix is in at the Obama Justice Department. An independent counsel, working with FBI Director Comey and his agents, must now be appointed to indict, convict and imprison Hillary Clinton – where she can do no further harm to the nation's national security.
