TEL AVIV – Palestinians have been sharing images on Twitter and Facebook of murdered Israelis accompanied by expressions of “joy” over the terrorist attacks, the Palestinian daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida reported.

The “most significant” picture being shared by Palestinian users of social media, according to the Palestinian newspaper, is an image of the dead bodies of a young Israeli couple, Naama and Eitam Henkin, who were murdered in front of their four children while driving on a West Bank road last week.

Palestinian Media Watch translated the Palestinian newspaper report.

“Palestinian users of the social networks Facebook and Twitter posted pictures from the scene of the settlement Itamar operation (the killing of Naama and Eitam Henkin in front of their four children) south of Nablus, the most significant being the picture of the killed woman settler and her husband, alongside expressions of joy over the operation which they described as ‘heroic,'” the newspaper said.

“[Palestinian] citizens expressed their joy over this event,” it added.

The Henkin parents were murdered Oct. 1 while driving on a road near the Israeli town of Itamar. In the back seat of their car during the terrorist shootings were their four children, aged 9, 7 and 4 years old, and 4 months.

The Palestinian glorification of terrorism on social media comes amid a wave of Palestinian terrorist attacks rocking Israel that has made its way to Tel Aviv.

WND reported exclusively Wednesday two 18-year-old American students narrowly escaped a lynching when they mistakenly entered a largely Palestinian Arab neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem. Also, an American of Arab descent was arrested for throwing rocks at Israeli security forces earlier this week, WND has learned.

On Thursday, a Palestinian stabbed an Israel Defense Forces soldier in bustling central Tel Aviv and took her weapon before being shot and killed.

The attack, which took place just before rush hour, temporarily shut down one of the largest traffic arteries in Tel Aviv. The event transpired just off the highly trafficked Menachem Begin Boulevard near the Tel Aviv Military Headquarters and outside Azraeli Center, a series of popular shopping and business buildings.

The attacker reportedly stabbed the female IDF soldier with a screw driver, took her weapon and ran toward the Azrieli shopping mall. Another soldier on the scene pursued the stabber, shooting and killing him.

The terror attack was at least the third of the day and the eighth since Wednesday.

Also today, a Palestinian stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli in the settlement of Kiryat Arba.

Earlier, another Israeli man was seriously wounded by a stabber at a station of the light-rail train system in Jerusalem. Significantly, the attack took place just outside Jerusalem’s National Police Headquarters.
